“Iniquity Unchecked is a Dangerous Thing” – Don’t Ignore Your Convictions…

Iniquity begins in the heart. You can’t see it with the naked eye, but you can feel it. Its presence is strong and convicting. But when ignored & unchecked, it can be a very dangerous thing. You might ask, “What is iniquity?” It’s hidden sin and Webster Dictionary describes it as the lack of righteousness, wickedness, and unjust acts.

Unfortunately, many professing Christians mess up here…even some of the strongest ones like teachers, preachers, and evangelists. From the smallest to the greatest, we have to acknowledge the presence of sin and conviction in our lives. Whether it’s thoughts of homosexuality, cheating or committing adultery, lying, stealing, hurting someone, slander, gossip, pornography, doing drugs, going somewhere you know you shouldn’t go, doing something you know personally or biblically is wrong, etc… it starts in the heart. And then it progresses in the mind, and if unchecked, these things can become active…
